Hoodie size grading
calculator.
Turn an approved medium sample into a starter XS–XXL measurement table using explicit grade rules for each point of measure.
Grade a starter spec.
Enter the approved M measurement and the change per size. Values are body measurements in centimeters.
| Measurement | XS | S | M | L | XL | XXL |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chest width | 58 | 60 | 62 | 64 | 66 | 68 |
| Body length | 68 | 69 | 70 | 71 | 72 | 73 |
| Shoulder width | 56 | 57 | 58 | 59 | 60 | 61 |
| Sleeve length | 60 | 61 | 62 | 63 | 64 | 65 |
| Hem width | 46 | 48 | 50 | 52 | 54 | 56 |
Starter grade only. Fit-test the intended size range, define measurement methods and tolerances, and have a qualified pattern technician approve production specifications.
BEFORE BULK
A grade rule is not a fit approval.
Different points of measure should not automatically use the same increment. Chest width, body length, shoulder and sleeve length interact with pattern shape, fabric recovery and intended silhouette.
Use this table to make assumptions visible, then have the pattern maker define measurement methods, tolerances and any non-linear grade breaks. Fit-test representative sizes before releasing bulk production.
